Donor Treatment

Pre-donation Initially, you will need to have a consultation with a Fertility Plus medical specialist to discuss whether egg donation is the appropriate treatment for you. You and your partner will need to have a blood test for HIV and Hepatitis B and C.

Couples may require donor sperm treatment due to poor sperm quality, or complete absence of sperm in the male partner. It is also an option for single women and women in same sex relationships.

Embryo donation in New Zealand is legal, and regulated. Fertility Plus adheres to the Guidelines established by the Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ACART) on Embryo Donation.
